JCL Productions is an Edmonton, Alberta based company that specializes in live music event booking, consulting, talent buying, concert promotions, and event management, in Western Canada.
After booking live music for years at the Rev Cabaret (now Starlite Room) in Edmonton, then concert promoting and event planning hundreds of events at the University of Alberta for many years, Steve Derpack created JCL Productions. JCL has worked with many artists over the years, including such touring and locals acts as: Broken Social Scene, Hawksley Workman, Stars, Jason Collett, The Dears, Sloan, Joel Plaskett, Peter Elkas, Ron Sexsmith, Jill Barber, Matthew Barber, Jim Bryson, Mother Mother, The Golden Dogs, Matthew Good, The Meligrove Band, Hayden, Dan Bern, Josh Ritter, The Spill Canvas, Danny Michel, Final Fantasy, Tokyo Police Club, The Wailin’ Jennys, The Be Good Tanyas, Bedouin Soundclash, Neko Case, Dan Mangan, Cuff The Duke, Two Hours Traffic, Matt Costa, Thornley, Grady, Theory of a Deadman, Nashville Pussy, Metric, Hey Ocean!, Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker, Elliott Brood, The Von Bondies, Amy Millan, The Skydiggers, Ten Second Epic, Corb Lund, the smalls, and many many others.
Steve was the Entertainment Manager for The Haven Social Club in Edmonton for a few years, and subsequently operated and booked Avenue Theatre.
JCL works with various artists nightly as well booking in all other venues in and around Alberta as well as partnering with various organizations such as the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, and other festivals in Western Canada.
Steve has worked as a stage manager for awards shows as well as various festivals, and is a co founder and the Sponsorship and Marketing Director for the Edmonton Music Awards.
Steve continues to support and book many of this country’s finest talent in Edmonton and throughout Western Canada.
